An antiviral agent and a remedy for hepatitis capable of exhibiting an excellent therapeutic effect even on virus genotypic hepatitis C or hepatitis C with a high viral level wherein the administration of interferon alone can achieve only a poor effective curative rate. This drug comprises interferon together with at least one component selected from the group consisting of zinc salts and zinc complexes.
