FIELD: chemical industry, environmental protection, gas cleaning. SUBSTANCE: method involves steps of mixing raw materials with binder, granulation, carbonization and activation. Raw materials are constituted by dry concentrate of sulphide-alcoholic malt residue, while, as binder, is used sulphide-alcoholic malt residue with dry matter content of 50%. First raw materials are subjected to carbonization at temperature 350-400 C, followed by mixing carbonized residue with binder at temperature 120-130 C, at residue-to-binder weight ratio equal to 3:1-1.2. Activation is carried out for 20-25 min at 750-800 C. Proposed sorbent-catalyst consists of granules with great porosity, high catalytic activity and high mechanical strength. Method makes it possible to produce sorbents for use in cleaning exhaust gases resulting from chemical, metallurgical, paper pulp, cellulose, etc. to remove from exhaust gases of sulphurous compounds, viz. sulphur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, mercaptan. Method can use cheap raw materials while yielding product has good sorptive and catalytic properties in treating sulphurous compounds. EFFECT: higher efficiency. |
