PURIFICATION OF ACETONITRILE BY PROCESS BASED ON ADSORPTION

FIELD: purification of acetonitrile. SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminary treatment of acetonitrile which contains organic impurities (e.g. unsaturated nitriles) by solid reagent. Said process involves selective conversion of unsaturated nitriles into products being more easily removed. Then thus treated nitrile is passed through number of layers of adsorbent for movement of previously obtained products and other impurities which are present in acetonitrile. EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method.
