<p>A permanent magnet of a magnetically anisotropic Fe-Mn-R sinter comprising on the atomic percentage basis 5-35 % at least one rare earth element (R) selected among ytterbium, erbium, thulium and lutetium, 1-25 % manganese and the balance substantially consisting of iron, wherein part of iron has been replaced by at most 50 % (exclusive of 0 %), based on the whole structure, of cobalt. The magnet is inexpensive and has excellent temperature characteristics.</p> |
