The shut-off valve is used in conjunction with a vessel containing powder. It has a sliding plug unit in the outlet, which opens and closes it. The discharge channel (8) commences with a region (10) which is rounded, when seen in a cross section cutting through the length of the passage. In this new valve configuration, the discharge channel (8) has a second regions (12) immediately following the first (10), which as a conical conformation.
