The liquid applicator comprises a cylindrical barrel (1) in which a liquid is stored (4). An activating part (21) at the rear end of the cylindrical barrel is supported at the front during its activation. A connector (7) joined at its end to the activating part extends frontwards inside the cylindrical barrel. A valve rod (6) connected to the front end of the connector has a large diameter part (6a) projecting radially outwards. A cylindrical valve seat (2) is closely fitted in the front end opening (1a) of the cylindrical barrel and provides sliding support for the valve rod behind the radially projecting part. This part abuts against the seat in the non activated state and is separated from the seat during activation. A spring (8), supported at the front by a support (3) in the seat front end (2a), pushes the valve rod rearwards.
