Ball-joint

A pin (1a) projecting from a base flange (1) is fitted with a spherical bearing (2) via a bolt (3). A housing (4) with an inner spherical recess encloses the bearing and is fitted with a bearing face liner (5) and a sealing unit (15a,b,c). Running in contact with the housing liner is a spherical hub liner (6) which is separated from the hub (2) by an elastomeric layer (7). The joint allows relative rotational motion and angular displacement while allowing some flexibility in a radial direction. A cap (14) allows access to the bolt for disassembly.
