<p>Cable terminations for a multicore cable (1), the essential feature of which is the use of a non-shrinking branch piece (6), of metal or hard plastic, having tubular outlets (7) (8) corresponding to the number of cores (3) (4) and with beads (14) over which the plastic sleeves (10), (11), (13) are placed. A layer of adhesive is advantageously applied to the outside (15) of the branch piece (6), which melts during the heat shrinkage of the shrink sleeves and bonds them firmly in place. The branch piece can be flat where the cable has only two cores or if it is three-cored may be round or a two-part flat shell. If the branch piece is of plastic, suitable metal bolts pass through it for earthing the cable to the external metal screen.</p> |
