Total knee joint prosthesis

摘要

The prosthesis has femoral (1) and tibial (2) components and an intermediate plate (3). The femoral component includes a pair of prosthetic condylar portions (5) which have a circular arcuate curvature at their rear portions (5a). The condylar portions are separated by a convex wall (9) whose curvature is coaxial with their own. The intermediate plate has a pair of cavities (25) whose rear portions are concave, and a central rib (30), such that its surface shape corresponds to that of the femoral component. Either the intermediate plate or the tibial component has a central pin (20) cooperating with a hole in the other component to define a pivot axis.
