The invention relates to a dung grid (12) for the floor (6) of a cattle shed (1). The grid comprises a number of parallel elongated floor sections (74), spaced apart with some interspace, which in combination form a floor surface of the grid (12). A floor section (74) comprises an upper surface, a lower surface and side walls. The upper surface of the floor section is wider than a lower surface of that floor section (74). The invention also relates to a cattle shed (4) comprising a floor having at least one opening which is covered with at least one such dung grid (12). <IMAGE>
