An ink jet head including a main body and a nozzle plate, wherein the main body changes the volume in a pressure chamber by deformation of a laminate piezoelectric device and thus feeds ink filled in the pressure chamber toward the front opening of the pressure chamber. The nozzle plate includes a nozzle hole communicating with the front opening of the pressure chamber and bonded to the front end of the main body with adhesive. The adhesive forms a nozzle seal layer of an arbitrary width in such a manner as to encompass the nozzle hole and the periphery of the front opening of the pressure chamber, an outer periphery hermetic layer of an arbitrary width round the outer periphery of a region in which the main body and the nozzle plate oppose each other, and a reinforcing layer scattered in an intermediate portion between the nozzle seal layer and the outer periphery seal layer.
