<p>The device for detecting the presence of a key includes a transponder which is intended to communicate with a module on board the vehicle by radiation energy. An aerial (30) having a short sensitivity range is able to detect the response from the transponder (1) which is associated with the key (3,4), when the key is inserted as normal into the anti-theft lock (5). If no response is detected, or if a predetermined logic combination is not correctly sensed, then a microprocessor (11) forming part of the on-board module (10) activates a key detection circuit (16).</p> |
