<p>A reversible furniture assembly comprising a combination of a hinge system and modular elements such that various configurations may be achieved and elements with differing functions may be used. The furniture assembly may be multidirectional (i.e. each assembly may have various uses), multi-purpose (i.e. each assembly may provide specific functions), multidimensional (i.e. each assembly may have a variable size), and multiform (i.e. each assembly may have a particular shape). In the field of furniture, a wide variety of layouts and arrangements may be achieved in work, communication and recreation areas in offices, homes and the like. The assembly comprises a hinge system selectively enabling at least two modular elements to be separated or joined together, as well as modular elements or sets of modular elements that may have a variety of shapes, functions and sizes. The hinge system is characterised in that it has a vertical hinge located between the elements and which may extend from the top to the bottom of the furniture. Similarly, wheels are attached to the bottom of each modular element.</p> |
