DEVICE FOR IDENTIFYING DOMESTIC ANIMAL OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE: To provide equipment for identifying animals which has basically excellent sensitivity to the information on animal identification without occurrence of reading failure. CONSTITUTION: This equipment comprises an animal distinguishing mark and a gate type antenna where the distinguishing mark is an indication label made of a soft material. The indication label is equipped with a distinguisher having an antenna coil, a tuning capacitor and electronic circuits. The gate type antenna is composed of a plurality of antenna around which conductive wires are coiled and these antennas are allowed to cross each other at such angles at which a wide band range of electromagnetic fields are generated without interference, when electric waves are transmitted and received whereby the information on the animal distinguishing mark is read out. Since the sensitivity of the distinguishing mark is high and the gate type antenna has a wide-area directional characteristics, individual animal can be surely distinguished with the advantage of a wide distinguishable range.
