PURPOSE: To easily select a target command by providing a status key take-out means for displaying a command menu corresponding to a status key taken out from a status buffer in a menu area. CONSTITUTION: A central processing unit 1 is provided with a status key setting means 11 and the status key take-out means 12. The status key is the one for recognizing the preparation process at the present point of time of a CAD and is a status value for indicating the process at the present point of time. The status key setting means 11 for storing the status key added to the selected command of the menu area in the status butter and the status key take-out means 12 for taking out the status key from the status buffer and displaying the command menu corresponding to the taken-out status key in the menu area are provided. Thus, at the time of a graphic processing, a menu narrowed to the small number of the commands with the high possibility of utilization is automatically outputted and displayed.
