<p>PURPOSE: To provide the clutch of an automatic transmission, capable of increasing the extent of clutch capacity by making effective use of an excess space, and inaeasing the connecting area of a multiple disk clutch. CONSTITUTION: This is an automatic transmission clutch where a multiple disk clutch consisting of plural pieces of ring driving plates 8, 16 and driven plates 9 and 17 is pressed by a clutch piston 7, thereby performing both the clamping and releasing operations. In addition, these driving plates 8, 16 and driven plates 9 and 17 different in width in the radial direction each are installed in this multidisk clutch.</p> |
