PURPOSE: To provide an image processing device and its method wherein a gray-scale picture of a stable high picture quality can always be obtained. CONSTITUTION: A control unit 47 gives a specified signal to a PWM circuit 45 which generates a pulse signal in response to an image signal, and a laser beam which is emitted from a semiconductive laser 60 at that time is detected by a PIN diode 61. D-F/F 50, 51 and an edge storage circuit 52 perform a sampling of the output PD of the PIN diode 61 and an image clock PCLK while synchronizing with a sampling clock SCLK. The control unit 47 re-writes a conversion table of an LUT 44 which corrects the image signal, based on the sampling result which is stored in the edge storage circuit 52. |
