PURPOSE: To control bleeding and to conduct higher speed recording by making the number of nozzles of a recording head for ink of a slow fixing type or ink necessary to be discharged at a low frequency greater than that for ink of other types. CONSTITUTION: In a head, a black ink and cyan, magenta, yellow inks which have different values of surface tension are placed in an ink tank, and color recording is conducted on a recording sheet. For the first line, printing is carried out using only C, M, Y, and after the sheet being fed for one line, black printing is conducted on a color printing part of the previous line using nozzles 1B-NB of a Bk head. At the same time, Y, M, C are used for printing on the second line. This kind of printing method is repeated to obtain a color print of an A4 size. The obtained print is free from bleeding in the boundary part of colors and has good picture quality in a black character part. |
