PURPOSE: To obtain syrup having high trehalose content, dissolving and containing trehalose in an amount exceeding solubility per water content and containing other saccharides, hardly polluted by microorganisms, having slightly crystallizing property or uncrystallizing property, having low viscosity and high sweetness and useful for food and drink, etc. CONSTITUTION: This syrup dissolves and contains preferably 18.5-25.0(W/W)% (per trap) trehalose in an amount exceeding solubility per water content and dissolves and contains saaccharide such as reducing monosaccharide and/or oligosaccharide in an amount exceeding solubility per water content and dissolves and contains other saccharide such as reducing monosacccharide and/ oligosaccharide and has preferably 25-35% water content.
