PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate changes between device in a same batch or to lower the changes to at least an acceptable level. SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing a polymeric form positive temperature coefficient resistor device and in a device for manufacturing the resistor device, a strip 100 consisting of a PTC material, which is manufactured by a continuous extrusion lamination process, is preferably laid out and individual devices 10 are cut form the strip. The devices are cut by a cutter into accurate prescribed lengths, and the resistance of each device is measured in a state left standing after the device has been cut. The prescribed length of each device to be cut is decided on the basis of the desirable resistance value of the device, and the measured resistance of the device which has just been cut. A mark for displaying information related to each device is put on the device at a printing station 55. |
