PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the conductivity of the silver layer in a low emissivity coating to achieve the good heat insulation of insulating glass, by ensuring an extremely smooth surface under the silver layer and incorporating an additional thin layer of which the atoms are not almost or entirely dispersed in silver. SOLUTION: A first layer with a thickness of 20-70 nm comprising oxide selected from the oxide group consisting of ZnO, SnO2 , In2 O3 , Bi2 O3 , TiO2 , ZrO2 , Ta2 O3 , SiO2 and Al2 O3 , nitride selected from AlN and Si3 N4 , aluminum-, titanium-, zirconium- or silicon oxynitride or a mixture of them is precipitated on a substrate, and a second layer with a thickness of 1-40 nm comprising suboxide of a metal selected from Zn and Ta is precipitated on the first layer. A third layer with a thickness of 5-30 nm comprising either one of metal Ag and Cu is provided on the second layer, and a fourth layer with a thickness of 0.5-5 nm is provided as an alloy, a metal layer or metal suboxide having at least 15 at.% of Ti, Cr and Nb. A fifth layer is a flat plate comprising a translucent material presipitated from the material in the first layer. |
