PURPOSE: To enable images similar to each other in gradation by incorporating at lest one kind of specified cyan dye-forming coupler in a red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and allowing the gradation of yellow and the like obtained by the different 2 kinds of development processings to satisfy prescribed conditions. CONSTITUTION: The red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer contains at least one kind of cyan dye-forming coupler represented by the formula and the 2 kinds of envelopment processings I and II different from each other in color developing time are executed, and the yellow, magenta, and cyan gradations are allowed to satisfy the following conditions; 0.8<=γII(C)/γI(C)<=1.2. 0.8<=γII (M)/γI(M)<=1.2, 0.8<=γII(Y)/γI(Y)<=1.2, whereγI(C),γII(C),γI(M),γII(M),γI(Y), andγII(Y) are each gradation of cyan, magenta, and yellow when the 2 kinds of development processings I, II are executed, and in the formula, R<1> is an alkyl group and R<2> is an aryl group and Z is an H atom or the like.
