PURPOSE: To inexpensively and easily produce a polyurethane foam having hydrophilicity, biocompatibility, biodisintegrability and biodegradability. CONSTITUTION: This process for producing a biodegradable polyurethane foam comprises reacting a solution of a mixture comprising a polysaccharide ester derivative having a degree of substitution with active groups in the rang of 0.01-1.5 and a polyol compound with an isocyanate compound in the presence of a blowing agent, and deesterifying at least a part of the ester groups of the polysaccharide derivative part of the formed foam. |
