<p>PURPOSE: To perform the inter-system communication as quickly and efficiently as the intra-system communication by copying distributed shared memories to each other through a WAN(wide area network) or a communication line between processor modules. CONSTITUTION: It is fundamental that systems communicate with each other through distributed shared memories, and the common distributed shared memory space is shared between systems. Distributed shared memories 21-1 to 21-3 to which the same address is assigned are arranged in transmission PM (processor modules) 18-1 and 18-2 of a communication system 17-1 and a reception PM 18-3 of a reception system 17-2. Transmission PMs 18-1 and 18-2 and the reception PM 18-3 are connected by a WAN 26 or an inter-PM line 25. Distributed memory couplers 22-1 and 22-2 of transmission PMs 18-1 and 18-2 discriminate inter-PM communication or WAN communication, and the same address locations of the shared memory 21-1 on the transmission side and distributed shared memories 21-2 and 21-3 on the transmission/reception side are copied to each other in accordance with the interface and the protocol, thereby realizing a message passing program model.</p> |
