PURPOSE: To reduce the occurrence of noise or vibration in an effective manner by making 1 it operate only in a second rotational phase and checking backlash in the engagement of two gears is impulsively turned over between both the first and second rotational phase intervals. CONSTITUTION: A roller 24 drives a cam 10 toward a lead rotation through a tension coil spring 28, corresponding to a rotational phase interval alone in the engagement between two gears 12 and 16, and a sector wheel 34 is stored in a sector cavity 36 of the gear 16, while a finely adjusted rotational phase position of this sector wheel 34, passing a long hole 42 of this wheel 34, is held in a tapped hole 44 of the gear 16 with a thread 46 clamped tight. Backlash in the engagement between both the gears 12 and 16 is buried by the sector wheel 34, and even at a time when the cam 10 is transited to the rotational phase interval, where it is driven by the roller 24, inversely, the same state is maintained. Further the rotation leads, is engagement between the cam 10 and the roller 24 are separated from each other, any participation of the sector wheel 34 is gone, and therefore substantial force will not act in space between both these gears 12 and 16, so noise and vibration are not produced by the backlash at all. |
