PURPOSE: To provide an air zinc battery which has an air electrode improved and high reliability. CONSTITUTION: In an air zinc battery characterized by having an air electrode 4 comprising a catalyst layer 1 composed of a carbonic powder, an inorganic metal oxide and a PTFE resin, a collector body and a gas diffusion layer as a positive electrode and having a zinc alloy powder as the main active material of a negative electrode, The addition quantity of the PTFE resin added in the catalyst layer 1 is 5∼20wt.% and also a moisture percentage is controlled so as to be 4∼8wt.%. Therefore, the initial discharge performance, the storage performance and the leakage liquid resistance performance of a battery are enhanced to provide the high reliability of a battery. |
