PURPOSE: To eliminate a defrosted part of an outdoor heat exchanger from being left by preventing the freeze-up or clogging with ice at a base outlet of an outdoor unit of heat pump type. CONSTITUTION: The defrosting is achieved when the integrated drive time of a compressor 4 of an air conditioner reaches the prescribed value, and the outdoor heat exchange temperature detected by a heat exchange temperature detecting part 6 reaches the defrosting value. The outdoor heat exchange temperature is detected by the heat exchange temperature detecting part 6, and the outdoor temperature is detected by an outdoor temperature detecting part 7. A defrosting release determining part 10a of an outdoor unit control device 10 determines the defrosting release value of the defrosting based on the detected outdoor heat exchange temperature and the outdoor temperature. The lower the outdoor heat exchange temperature is, or the lower the outdoor heat exchange temperature and the outdoor temperature are, the higher the defrosting release value is set to. The outdoor unit control device 10 achieves the defrosting, and when the outdoor heat exchange temperature reaches the determined defrosting release value, the defrosting is completed to return to the original operation. |
