PURPOSE: To smoothly circulate toner in a developing unit and to stably supply the toner to the surface of a developing sleeve through a toner supplying/ recovering roller by preventing the toner removed from the surface of the toner supplying/recovering roller in each developing unit with a flicker from retaining in the vicinity of the flicker, in a developing device in which plural developing units are fixedly installed in the circumferential direction of a rotatable substrate. CONSTITUTION: Each developing unit fixedly installed on the substrate is provided with a developing part 1 facing a photoreceptor drum at a developing position and a toner housing part 2 located on the opposite side to the developing part 1. This developing part 1 is provided with the toner supplying/ recovering roller 6, the flicker 7 abutted thereon, etc. A toner recovering path 8 reaching the rear part of the toner housing part 2 from the bottom part of the developing part 1 and going to the housing part 2 is provided. The substrate is rotated in a direction where the side of a part facing the photoreceptor drum is raised. |
