PURPOSE: To fire a compsn. without converting the structure into a semiconductor even under low partial pressure of oxygen and to improve weather resistance by incorporating BaTiO3 , a specified rare earth metal oxide, assistant components and oxide glass. CONSTITUTION: A principal compsn. is composed of 92.0-99.4mol% BaTiO3 , 0.3-4.0mol% at least one kind of rare earth metal oxide selected from among Tb2 O3 , Dy2 O3 , Ho2 O3 and Er2 O3 and 0.3-4.0mol% CeO3 , and 100 pts.wt., in total, of 100mol% of the principal compsn., 0.05-4.0mol% BaO, 0.05-2.0mol% MnO, 0.5-5.0mol% MgO and 0.3-3.0mol% NiO and Al2 O3 as assistant components are blended with 0.5-2.5 pts.wt. oxide glass represented by the formula Li2 O-(Six Ti1-x )O2 -M (where M is Al2 O3 and/or ZrO2 and 0<x<=1.00) to obtain the objective nonreducible dielectric porcelain compsn. having a dielectric constant of >=3,000, an insulation resistance value (C×R) of >=6,000 and the rate of volume change by emperature within the range of ±15% on the basis of volume at 25 deg.C over the range of -15 deg.C to +125 deg.C. |
