PURPOSE: To provide a photo-reaction device in which photo-reaction efficiency is enhanced by making a photo-catalyst membrane of generating a photo-active part by light adhere to a transparent board to bring it into contact with a material made to react and obliquely disposing the surface made to adhere in light incident direction. CONSTITUTION: Four pieces of wedge-form transparent plate 2 (glass or the like) of a type narrowing to a point at the top from above to below to which a transparent conduction film 3 (tin oxide of approximately 0.1μm) is made to adhere are arranged in a container 1 to partition chambers R1 ∼R5 . An N-type light catalyst film 4 is made to adhere to the oblique one-side surface of the transparent plate 2 and a P-type photo-catalyst membrane 5 is made to adhere to the other oblique one-side surface, and they are brought into contact with a material 7 made to react in which NaOH or the like is added to water. TiO2 , WO3 or the like is used for the photo-catalyst membrane 4, 5, and an aluminum film 6 is vapor-deposited on the lower end part of the transparent plate 2. When light 9 is vertically incident upon the upper surface 1A of the container 1, an electron or a hole is formed in the surface of the photo- catalyst membrane and made to react with a water molecule to generate a H2 gas and a O2 gas, and each gas is isolated from a flow-out port 8. |
