发明名称 PRODUCTION OF HYDROGEN OCCLUSION ALLOY POWDER
摘要 PURPOSE: To produce an alloy powder as a negative electrode material of hydrogen secondary battery having excellent properties by forcedly stirring a powder or sintered compact of a mischmetal nickel based hydrogen occlusion alloy, produced by gas atomizing method, with an acid solution. CONSTITUTION: The molten metal of the alloy consisting essentially of a the mischmetal and nickel is quenched by blowing gaseous Ar to solidify into a spherical granular metal. Or the powder is sintered by heating at 600-1000 deg.C. The gas-atomized powdery or the sintered compact-like hydrogen occlusion alloy is mixed with an acid solution such as a diluted hydrochloric acid solution and charged into a wet mixer having a rotor and is treated with the acid by forcedly stirring with the rotor to dissolve and remove an oxide coating film on the surface and to crush the alloy granules. The material having excellent properties and excellent as the negative electrode of secondary battery for the nickel.hydrogen battery or the like is obtained.
