<p>PHTHALOCYANINE PIGMENTS STABLE IN SOLVENTS. G2A. are obtained by addition to the phthalic anhydride or phthalodinitrile used in the syntheses of these pigments of 0.5-10% (calculated on the anhydride or dinitrile) of an aromatic, hydroaromatic, or heterocyclic polycarboxylic acid (I) containing two or more pairs of carboxylic acid groups, these pairs having the two carboxylic acid groups in immediately adjacent positions. (I) may contain substituents in the ring or may be in the form of their salts, esters, anhydrides, amides, imides, nitriles, amidines, imidines or isoindolenines. Pref. (I) is pyromellitic acid or its anhydride, amide, imide, or nitrile. The pigments are useful in polygraphy, in the dye, lacquer and paint industries and for coloration of plastics and rubber etc.</p> |
