The pull-out extension or drawer for cupboards, partic. kitchen base cupboards has an extension work top firmly connected to the extension body which in turn supports a closable bread bin. The work top only covers a part of the width of the extension body whilst the lid of the bread bin is attached to the inside of the cupboard body and when pushed in covers the remaining width of the extension body. Thus, the work top and bread bin can be drawn out immediately with the extension so that the bin is readily accessible. When pushed in, however, the bin is air-tight. The entire width of the extension body and the entire inner width of the cupboard body can therefore be used for the bread bin. The work-top is still wide enough to take a bread slicing machine.
