<p>PURPOSE: To allow a tape to travel with high accuracy and to reduce the size of a magnetic recording and reproducing device by disposing all graded guide posts on the outer side of a magnetic tape traveling route and fixing these posts to a chassis base plate. CONSTITUTION: The device is provided, in order of the traveling direction L of the magnetic tape 17, with a vertical guide post(VGP) 34 existing on the inner side of the tape traveling route (tape path), a first graded guide post(GGP) 21 existing on the outer side of the tape path grading in the traveling direction L, and a second GGP 22 existing on the outer side of the tape path grading in the backward traveling direction of the tape. Further, the device is provided with the VGP 30 existing on the inner side of the tape path and the third GGP 27 existing on the inner side of the tape path grading in the backward traveling direction of the tape. The GGPs 21, 22, 27 are fixed to the chassis 20. Thereby, the tape traveling with the high accuracy is made possible and the tape loading by the movement of the post members to the min. possible extent is possible. The reduction of the size of the magnetic recording and reproducing device is thus embodied.</p> |
