<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a structure that reduces the discomfort felt by a patient and has a compact size by connecting a radiation source to a base part, making the base part containing the devices required for the operation of the radiation source and having an upper portion formed as a constituent part of a patient bearing device. SOLUTION: A shock wave source 3 for generating focused acoustic shock wave supply is connected to a base part 1 via a joint arm 4 and support 5. Upper portion 6 acts as a cover for the base part 1 and forms a part of a patient bearing device of a therapy apparatus. The patient bearing device further comprises bearing plate divisions 12, 13 as separate parts in addition to the upper portion 6. The bearing plate divisions 12, 13 are rotatably attached to opposite ends of the upper portion 6. The bearing plate divisions 12, 13 can form relatively different slanting angles with respect to the upper portion 6 which is arranged in a horizontal plane.</p> |
