PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the volume expansion caused by the penetration of water by a small ratio of swelling powder and assure sealing by arranging adding particles between the swelling particles so as to separate particles of the swelling powder. SOLUTION: Core wires AD1-AD4 are arranged on the inside of an electric cable CA1 and filling materials FS1 are filled in wedged spaces formed between the core wires AD1-AD4, and the filling material FS1 contains one kind of swelling powder and adding powder. Particles S1-Sn of the swelling powder are separated each other by adding powder particles AP1-APn. The particles AP1-APn are not swelled even if water penetrated. The particle size of the adding powder particles AP1-APn are selected to less than 1/10 the particle size of the swelling powder particles S1-Sn. By the particles AP1-APn, good separation effect is obtained. |
