PURPOSE: To reduce in weight while improving the strength by incorporating fiber-reinforced plastic(FRP) impregnated with reinforcing fiber woven fabric using reinforcing fiber yarn having specific width of a single yarn and yarn width/thickness ratio in a sport or leisure implement. CONSTITUTION: A ship hull 1 of a relatively large ship or a marine implement such as a boat or a yacht has a deck 2, a deck beam 3, a beam bracket 4 and a lateral frame 5, and the outboard 6 of the hull contains fiber-reinforced plastic(FRP) obtained by impregnating the reinforcing fiber of a plurality of layers with resin. At least one layer of the reinforcing fiber material is fiber- reinforced woven fabric in which at least one of warps and wefts of flat reinforcing fiber yarn has the width of a single yarn of 3 to 16mm and a yarn width/ thickness ratio of 20 or more and at least one of the warps and wefts has parallel fibers in the state of a woven fabric. Accordingly, desired mechanical strength can be performed while achieving the decrease in weight, and further extremely high through impact resistance can be performed for an external impact force due to a driftwood. |
