PURPOSE: To obtain an optical recording medium, an optical recording and reproducing system and an optical recording and reproducing method capable of eliminating unreasonably copying an information file having a large capacity and a copyright via a communication channel. CONSTITUTION: When the person in charge of an electronic book agency uses a controller 12 to read and output information data of the content of the book desired by a user from a host controller 13, the data is processed in a specific format different from a standard format by the controller 12 and supplied to an optical recording medium driver 11. The driver 11 writes the data of the content of the book in the specific format different from the standard format on a copy normal impossible information file area 1 of an optical recording medium 10. A dedicated thawing program displayed on a display by decoding the specific format is previously recorded on the copy enabling information file area 2 of the medium 10. |
