The method is to manufacture an oxidized cobalt oxygen sensor by: forming an oxidized cobalt layer(4) on the outer surface of a Pt electrode(3) used as a cathode by the reaction of the cobalt positive ion and the oxygen by applying 10 or 30 A/cm2 to the Pt electrodes(1,3) attached on both sides of an oxidized cobalt-pressing material(2); and forming the same Pt electrode(5) as the above Pt electrode on the surface of the oxidized cobalt layer(4) opposite to the Pt electrode(3) used as a cathode.
