FIELD: metrology. SUBSTANCE: invention solves problem of improvement of metrological and design characteristics of devices determining angular speeds of rotation of objects used in navigation, geodesy and other fields. Proposed device determining angular speed has system of optical resonators 2, 3, with gas mixtures 4,5 and photodetector 6, is fabricated in the form of open system of two resonators 2, 3 with different gas mixtures 4, 5 having one-way direction of light beams 1. Value of angular speed is proportional to difference of frequencies of beams and is determined from relation $$$, where $$$ is initial difference of frequencies under static mode; $$$ is current value of resonance frequency under dynamic mode; B is laser constant; $$$ is angular speed. Signs of "sum" or "difference" corresponds to left or right rotation of object. EFFECT: improved metrological and design characteristics. 1 dwg |
