METHOD FOR REPAIR AND UPGRADE OF ROTORS OF ALTERNATING CURRENT ELECTRIC MACHINES

FIELD: electric engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves turning rotor 1 by means of lathe 2 down to remove "squirrel cage" 3 with tooth layer. Rest of rotor is surrounded by casing, which is preliminary heated up to temperature of 300-350 centigrade (depending on power of electric machine). Casing is made from material which electromagnetic characteristics provide both current and magnetic conductance, for example from iron-copper alloy. Then rotor is kept for time which is required for its final cooling. Then short-circuit copper rings are welded or soldered by copper to ends of casings. Sizes of casing and rings are given in invention specification. EFFECT: guaranteed recover of electric machines which rotor active elements failed, increased duration of service life after repair. 4 dwg
