This invention pertains to the printing industry and can be used during the emulsion etching process of zinc printing plates. The purpose of this invention is to ensure the high quality of the printing plates by using in the emulsion composition cheap, available, stable components in the solution of nitric acid, at the same time decreasing their amount.The goal is achieved by using in the emulsion alkylbenzenesulphoacid sodium salt mixture ("Sulfanols", 4.25 g/l), another sodium alkyl sulfate salt mixture ("Progress", 0.9 g/l) as surface-active agents and xylol (16 g/l) with oleine acid (1 g/l) as an organic dissolvent.
