The control linkage for coupling the front and rear brakes of a vehicle comprises a hand lever (6) for the front wheel brake (BF1) and a lever (7) which activates a rear wheel brake (BR) and couples to the front wheel braking action. A coupling cable (10), with one end attached to the rear brake lever, is connected to the front brake lever and transmits an activating force from the rear lever to the front lever. A pre-loaded spring, which applies a force to the cable in a direction opposite to that in which the cable applies a force to the front lever, is located between the cable and a piece on the vehicle frame. One end of the coupling cable and one end of the rear brake cable (11) are connected to a compensator (12) connected to a centre region of the rear activator. |
