摘要 FIELD: plastic working of metals. SUBSTANCE: auxiliary brake has intermediate member formed by auxiliary surfaces 12 positioned on peripheral portions of side surfaces of drive disk 13 of main brake 4. In case main brake 4 fails to operate, auxiliary surfaces 12 are braked by force transmitted from power cylinder 6 due to command delivered by control system. Power cylinder 6 has pistons 9 with stems 9 provided with spherical ends 18, which are engageable with mated surfaces of cranked levers 5 mounted on shaft in casing 3 of main brake 4. Opposite ends of levers are provided with frictional gaskets 11. When cylinder 6 is actuated, gaskets 11 clamp auxiliary surfaces 12 at their both sides. EFFECT: simplified construction of press, prolonged service life and increased efficiency. 2 cl, 2 dwg
