APPARATUS FOR IN-FLOW VACUUMIZING OF METAL IN THE PROCESS OF CONTINUOUS POURING

FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has pouring ladle joined to evacuator with cylindrical working cavity having throat and discharge pipe in its bottom. Discharge pipe is extending into working cavity of intermediate ladle provided with pouring cups of crystallizer. Auxiliary pipe is positioned in the bottom of evacuator provided with supplying pipeline extending through its wall. Distance between pipes axes is 4-10 diameters of auxiliary pipe channel. Throat is made in the form of cylindrical channel of length equal to 0.2-0.6 of evacuator working cavity height and of diameter equal to space between inner generatrix of pipe channels. Lower part of evacuator working cavity is made conical with height equal to 0.15-0.3 of evacuator working cavity. EFFECT: increased intensity and efficiency of in-flow metal vacuumizing process and improved quality of continuously cast ingots.
