In order to indicate the oscillation movements of a centrifuge drum, a protruding rod (13) which, in the case of oscillating movements occurring beyond a specific limit, activate, by means of an annular component, a sensor (27) of a measurement value transducer (25) which is connected to an alarm device and/or to the drive motor of the centrifuge is attached to the bearing housing (12) of the centrifuge drum. The sensor (27) is oriented along a line (29) with respect to the oscillating point (28) of the centrifuge drum and can consist of a shielded, inductive field or the tilting lever of a mechanical switch, which field or which tilting lever is surrounded by the annular component in order to be actuated by the latter in all directions in a plane perpendicular to the aforesaid line (29).
