Machining method, especially for reaming

The method involves a tool (3) attached to the end of a coolant fluid delivery tube (2). The tool machines the inner wall (14) of the cylinder (6) whilst coolant is supplied into the space between the wall and the tool through openings (15, 16) in the tube. The cylinder may be rotated with respect to the tool and delivery tube. The coolant flows from the delivery tube on the opposite side of the tool from its head. It continues past the tool head carrying any debris away from the machining head.
