The filter has a filter tissue (2) tensioned by a tensioning device (15-17) and a force measurement device (18) which detects the tensional forces acting on the filter tissue and passes corresp. signals to an evaluation unit (20). The force measurement device has at least three measurement positions uniformly and peripherally distributed. The evaluation device contains a comparator (23) which compares the individual tensional forces from the measurement positions and only outputs a fault signal when the tensional forces do not change uniformly.
