The invention relates to a process for the isomerisation of n-olefins containing at most 20 carbon atoms, consisting in bringing a feedstock containing olefins into contact with a catalyst based on alumina impregnated with a correctly determined amount of titanium and subjected to a steam treatment. The process is implemented in the presence of steam.
