Rechargeable electrochemical cell comprising a cathode, a liquid electrolyte with a solute and at least one solvent, an anode containing a very crystallised carbon-containing material capable of inserting lithium ions, characterised in that the said carbon-containing material is equipped superficially with a thin film which is impermeable to the said solvent of the electrolyte but allows the diffusion of lithium.
